The 2015 Fresh Bite 5K
The Fresh Bite 5k is an opportunity for people who love to run or walk to turn out for a cause: ending hunger. About 600 economically-distressed families seek out the Weymouth Food Pantry each month to help make ends meet. While the economy has improved for some, those at the bottom are still experiencing a lot of challenges. Ensuring nobody goes hungry is a necessity. Ensuring everyone is has healthy food to eat is our goal.
The opposite of hungry isn't full-- it's healthy.
With your help, we'll not only be able to make sure everyone's fed well, but we'll be able to educated families about healthy eating habits. The Fresh Bite 5k takes place on November 1st at 9:00 a.m. (check-in will be open from 8:00am - 8:45 a.m.) at DCR Wompatuck State Park. With the paved trail ready for tennis shoes, strollers, and paws, the day's sure to be a lot of fun. Register as an individual or create a team with your family, organization, company or neighborhood.

The Weymouth Food Pantry
The Weymouth Food Pantry has been a grassroots effort led by a group of concerned neighbors to assist financially-struggling families from going hungry. Our mission is to alleviate hunger in Weymouth and we do so with compassion and joy, knowing when neighbors help neighbors our community is stronger for it.
